Pray for children , Protect them against violence

UNICEF just reminded us today to pray for children who need protection from violence. Children today need all the protection they can get. Violence against them is now common practice and even second nature to some who partake in such acts of violence.

Pray, Pray , Pray for them. Do what ever you can where ever you are to stop the violence.

Today's generation , Tomorrow's future !! Yes it is our responsibility.

If you are out there still thinking about adopting, then your heart is in the right place, though its not an easy process in most cases, its usually worth the trouble. Your blessings will be bountiful !! Know that we as humans are filled with every possible reason why no one should ever think of adopting us, but The Triune God still adopted us despite all our inequities and we are now included in his divine plan.

Its a great day today and its a blessing to be in it.

Yesterday I received a very special gift from the Mcgee family and I was simply unable to express my feelings. It was such an overwhelming act of love and support for the foadac project. This gift was well thought out, A huge jar full of coins that I could not even carry. There is truth to the fact that every penny goes a long. This family, Melvin, Carla and the kids, have been saving coins for a long time to help foadac orphans in Cameroon. When this jar full of coins fell down during the recent earthquake in Maryland , they knew it was time to hand it over. What a great act of kindness. Many Thanks to you and may God continue to bless you.

Its amazing to note how many people via different organizations are concerned about world poverty . I recently joined the organization that provides nets to third world countries to help fight malaria. There's WHO , UNICEF and many more out there fighting world hunger. This tells me there is hope yet for the underprivileged.

All their efforts are not going unnoticed. So many are already involved ,don't be left behind, its never too late to start today to lend a helping hand !!!

Dear Readers,

Very sorry for the long pause , we were experiencing some technical difficulties.

To catch up , I will like to highlight a few things that have been going on with our project lately. Quest Software was gracious enough to host a fundraiser event showcasing many charities of which Foadac was chosen . Lots of people came out to support the course. The main focus of the day for foadac was to introduce the "foadac feed the hungry T shirt " letting people know how simple it is to do a good deed and that you can feed a child for several days , for far less than you could ever imagine.

I also participated in "Walmart's feed the hungry campaign "out in Baltimore city. Planting fruits and vegetables to feed the hungry population .

Thanks for your continuous support with helping the needy.

Don't forget to join the foadac fitness club , to stay fit , have fun and help an orphan at the same time.

Lend a helping hand

Sorry for the lapse in time between posts.

Usually while on site in Cameroon , things tend to be a little slow. But we are back on track and moving right along. while in Cameroon this past few months , a lot of work was done and I was also able to visit a new Orphanage with not many children. They need help at this location just the same.
The orphanage is called Destitute children's home in Idenau, Southwest Province of Cameroon.
Foadac was able to visit this establishment and made donations of clothing and other supplies. Clothing and other school supplies was also received by Kai Orphanage in Mbengwi-Bamenda. Dr. Michael Agbor was on hand to receive supplies for the kids at his orphanage.
Transportation of supplies for these kids is an uphill task to complete. With the help of our donors we have been able to achieve quite a bit though there is always an ongoing need. Your generous donations are welcome . Don't forget to visit our website at www.foadac.org to lend a helping a hand.

Creating Awareness in the world of Philanthropy

This industry is alive and well and the people needing help are increasing daily. Philanthropy is a structured industry made up of individuals with their own ambitions and missions. Nonetheless there are several challenges we have to face in order to continue support for those in need . While attending a conference last month at the Cameroon American Council we agreed that if we all come together as cameroonians with the same vision we can better serve the less fortunate in our community.

April is Autism Awareness month

Thanks to science , there has been many breakthrough in the world of autism which mostly affects young children. Regular everyday kids have to struggle with this concern until adulthood. While orphaned kids have no help whatsoever, Imagine how hard it could be for them to function daily. I just wanted to bring this to the viewers attention , to keep underprivileged children with this ailment in their prayers.

Hello Everyone,
Another month is almost over and the year continues to roll by. In the wake of the massive earthquake in Haiti , the world saw what it means to care for people in need. The devastation was severe , the pain real and needs of people endless and overwhelming. There was massive support coming from all ends of the globe. Very impressive. God is definitely smiling as human kind is functioning according to his ways. " Love thy neighbor as thy self, Be kind to strangers ... "
My desire is to do the best I can to help orphans.I am sure we have all seen the enormous number of orphans in Haiti. I can only imagine what is going to happen to them. I urge you to pray for them and send any form of support that you can afford. Don't forget about them as the news begins to leave the media.
Foadac will continue in its mission of bringing hope to the hopeless.

last year was not such a bad one . We thank God. Although I was unable to see the orphans, our very able ambassador Ms Susanna Mondoa made a visit with gifts to the children. Thanks for all your support.

January: We are still collecting clothing , school supplies and soft toys. This goes on year round. It is never too late to make a donation of any kind to support the mission. Just last week a huge amount of supplies left Los Angeles headed for the orphanage.
Also,it’s been 2wks since a massive, unimaginable disaster hit Haiti. Before too long people will start to forget or get overwhelmed with financial support demands. I hope this doesn't happen too soon. No matter how far we are from a tragedy , there is always something we can do. This is not the time to philosophize about God. It’s not the time to ask why bad things happen. Instead it’s the time to ask " what can I do to help" The smallest contributions are a big deal. God gives the strength to the weary and hope to the destitute. What happened in Haiti is heart breaking and unthinkable, but as a part of the human race we cannot ignore this. My heart is bleeding for all the people there, especially the orphans which is my soft spot !!!

November Update

Thanks to all you good people out there for stopping by my blog. This is the time of year when I begin to wonder what every child will have for Christmas to make them feel loved and special. And so I start to purchase , solicit and do a drive when ever I can , to get little packages for them. Shipping and handling is a big hassle as well.
I also learnt of an addition to one of the Orphanages that brought the number of kids to 185 five at this location.( see picture of new kids above ) This reminded me of how great the need is to help as much as we can. Your support and prayers will be very much appreciated. I will not see the children this year, but I do have a wonderful ambassador to visit them and bring them love. Thanks for visiting my blog, the foundation for orphaned , abandoned and disabled African children is striving to make a difference in the lives of children in need. Back in my native Africa , some children have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS , others have been simply abandoned and another portion disabled with no one to help with their overwhelming needs. These children have found themselves in borderline situations through no fault of their own. They have become victims of disease , social and financial inequalities, which are felt throughout the third world.
